3 months agoThey upgraded us to a deluxe cabin free of charge (amazing), but there were several issues with it. I would not have been happy to pay extra for this cabin. Firstly, the key they gave us was bent, though we managed to bend it back into shape. The exit boom gate was stuck open due to damage from a previous visitor. When we got to our cabin, the door was very sticky because the tracks were poorly maintained. Several dishes in the cabin were filthy, one of the oil heaters was broken, and the toilet extraction fan made a terrible noise. Other visitors informed us that we were expected to throw out our rubbish, but we had no idea where the park's garbage disposal was located and weren't told this was required. It seems the only cleaning done is a sweep, replenishment of soaps, and a brief check-over and replenish clean sheets and towels. I understand they have a lot to manage, so I can forgive them for overlooking a few things in our cabin. However, the spa was broken the entire time, and three of the games in the game room were also broken, despite guests having to pay to use them. The staff were very polite but seemed very busy and understaffed, so we can forgive many of the issues. I hope they address the problems I’ve listed and improve the overall maintenance of the cabins and the park in general, as well as clearly explain the garbage disposal policy.

3 months agoBeautiful modern cottage with everything we needed, located 25 min away from the slopes. We really enjoyed our stay (family of four). Comfy beds too! The only downside is the quality of tap water, there's so much chlorine, and boiling doesn't help. I had to fill my water bottles at Friday Flat Bar.

2 months agoThe team at Discovery park Jindabyne is beyond legendary. We happened to stay there during the recent strongest wind storm with our tent which got destroyed by the wind while we were up at snow. The office rang notifying us about the damage. We had no option but to pack the stuff away and look for a new place. Luckily the team was there to help, did some juggling and adjustments to other bookings and managed to put us in a cabin for the next two nights. Couldn't be happier to pay a little extra and take on the opportunity to jump from site to site. Kids love this place, so do we. Convenience is everywhere, play equipment, great cozy amenities, a fireplace, hot sauna, clean bathrooms. Great in summer as it's right on the lake. And it's in the perfect mid location between snow and the town. From now on only staying at this park while in the mountains. Biggest thanks to Crystal, Trent and the rest of the team who kindly looked after us.

2 months agoExceptional experience! We got upgraded from a simple bunk bed cabin to one with a private bathroom and kitchen. They put out little chocolates, water, tea, coffee and cocoa to make any drink you’d like! Very clean and comfy and great communication. The after hours check in was super easy! Also it’s closer to perisher than any other accommodation in Jindy. And the view was good even from a cabin very far from the lake shore, because there is a slight slope so you can still see the lake ☺️ Thank you so much for an amazing experience.

2 months agoThis park is better than the other main park in Jindabyne. We stayed at both in the same week, as we had to leave Jindabyne for a couple days. This time we decided to price check only to find the discovery park was roughly 25% cheaper for the same thing. Therefore we gave it a go. To our suprise, the discovery had much better facilities and things for the kids to do in the park. We'll be certainly staying there again next time we hit the slopes. Very Happy Customer
