a week agoWell, where do I even begin? We booked a cabin 5 months in advance and specifically requested one next to the lake. We even spoke directly to reception, and they confirmed the request. They also asked us to include the request in the notes for “extra assurance,” which we did, of course. Fast forward to two days before check-in, and we get a call saying they "missed" our request and now couldn’t provide us with anything near the lake. But don't worry, they had ONE cabin available - right next to the road! How’s that for a perfect lake getaway? The cabin was nowhere near the peaceful lakeside we had envisioned, and instead, we got the delightful sound of traffic as a bonus. They offered a refund (how considerate), but let’s be real - two days before travel during peak school holidays, there’s no way we could find a last-minute replacement. It's honestly baffling how this was handled. We booked well in advance, confirmed everything, and still ended up with a total mess. Definitely not the stress-free experience we were hoping for.

2 weeks agoThe cabin looked nice at first, but upon closer inspection we could see that half of the beds were still dirty, the towels had suspicious brown stains on them, there was chewed gum on the tv, the fan was not working, and worst of all the tap water would sometimes be murky and at times be brown! A lot of things were out of order including the spa and games room and we didn’t have many options for things to do here at this park.

a month agoMy kids and I stayed here as a base for a few days in the mountains. The cabin was clean, comfy and equipped well for us to self cater breaky and lunches. The staff were excellent; we walked down to the lake to swim and rent a cat to sail around on. A very short drive into town, or a ride along a cool track. Kids want to head back asap!!

a month agoThis is a very bad hotel experience, no doubt about it. It can be said to be the worst experience in my life. The hotel management said that the room smelled of cigarettes because I smoked a cigarette outside the door. This is impossible. They said that the whole room needs to be cleaned and a fine of $500 is required. This is incomprehensible. I am 700km away from this hotel. I was notified the next day after checking out. I will never let anyone around me go to this hotel again.

a month agoDusty, desolate, and lacking atmosphere. Even though the park was mostly empty, we were crammed right beside another camper. The sites are far too small and packed too closely together for any sense of privacy. To top it off, a rude, entitled camper watched us setup and felt compelled to lecture us about being 200mm over a division line, making us feel completely unwelcome. We left early. Definitely would not recommend.
