2 weeks agoWe booked a three-night stay in an A-frame chalet, and the location is beautiful. However, on our second night, we noticed tiny bugs crawling everywhere. My husband approached the older receptionist and asked if we could borrow a vacuum to eliminate the bugs and even show her the photos. She responded that it is normal in the Pilbara region and that the bugs are attracted to lights - no action have taken received. As a result, we didn't sleep very well. I believe they need to address this issue because, as customers and paid $1,123 for 3 nights - we did not have a good experience at all RE: Response Hello Tom Price Tourist Park Team Thank you for your prompt response and for acknowledging the issue we experienced during our stay. I appreciate your efforts addressing your ongoing collaboration with the local council and maintenance team. While I understand that certain environmental factors can contribute to these challenges, your guests must have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I encourage you to explore additional preventative measures to mitigate these issues in the future, especially during peak seasons. Additionally , I would like to suggest improving customer service. During our stay, the older receptionist we approached about this problem did not offer any solutions. Her lack of assistance left us feeling frustrated, and as a result, the kids were scared to sleep. We ended up purchasing insect spray ourselves, and as you can see in the photos, some of the bugs were already dead. I hope you will inform your guests about the potential for such situations so they can be better prepared and not feel frustrated. Best regards, Tuesday Santiago

4 months agoClean screened amenities nice park. Good for kids as big play area. Pool daytime only. Our site had a tree at end middle of site slab made access very difficult. Van had to go on dirt. Need long hose and power cord due to the tap and power supply being across sites. Had to borrow sprinkler hose to fill tank. Has car wash area. Dog sitting apparently

5 months agoWOW! This place has got to be one of the cleanest places we've stayed at. And the bed was sooo comfy! Nice hot shower and pretty much everything we needed. Oh... we stayed in one of the cabins. The park is very clean, easy to navigate. And staff very friendly and helpful.

4 months agoPre booked the night before, overnight stay, 2 adults powered site. Member of Gday parks system , highest level and you can request an early check in with the park as appropriate. Despite message left on booking advising this the response wasn’t what I expected upon arrival at 10am. Advised to wait until 1045 and try again which we did. Given the worst site in the park, #31, on a huge incline, massive tree roots and backing on to corrugated iron structure and surrounded by permanents. That end of the park is just awful. We were unable to level our 14foot van so I went back to the office and asked for a different site and no surprise there was another available, drive through, level, concrete slab. The park was not full and many sites were vacant on my early morning walk around. Absolutely disappointed with the entire checking in and site offering. Gday parks have all been great until Tom Price. Amenities were clean, washing machines are credit card activated, plenty of line space. We won’t stay again nor would I recommend it, it’s not hard to be obliging and find the best available site when there were many vacant. site 31 shouldn’t be available to anyone, it is absolutely rubbish.
