a month agoI’ve never seen a more neglected campsite than this. The toilets and showers were completely unusable due to the overwhelming amount of bugs and filth inside. As paying customers, we expected a more accessible and well-maintained campsite. Had we known the conditions, we wouldn’t have come and would have preferred sleeping outdoors. 0/10 – exceptional value.

4 months agoWe stopped in here with 0 expectations. We were pleasantly suprised. Cabin was clean and tidy. Perfect for an overnight. Fantastic little cafe and small grocery shop. Very secure, with electric fencing surrounding the property. Just at the edge of town, and very quiet.

3 months agoI stayed at Tenant Creek Tourist on my way from Sydney to Darwin. Clem. is a beautiful and kind girl with a very good service attitude. My car had a problem, and she and her manager did their best to help me. I was very lucky to meet Clem. I was very pleased and thank you very much!

5 months agoWe stopped here for a night with little expectation and were pleasantly surprised by the standard and hospitality. We booked a budget room with ensuite which was compact but very clean and had everything we needed. There was a fridge, convection microwave and cutlery and crockery to make simple meals if needed. The actual camp grounds were well maintained and secure and the reception staff were kind and helpful in providing local information. There is a cafe onsite which we didn’t use. We would definitely recommend this accomodation for a stop over or short stay…

3 weeks agoI was looking for the public dump point in Tennant Creek and couldn't find it, as it wasn't where it used to be. While looking for it, I saw this caravan park, and I thought I would pop in to ask them if it had been relocated. The guy at reception told me it doesn't exist anymore because of a dispute over who should pay for maintaining it. I told him I had driven from Threeways to empty the cassette, and he said I could use theirs at the full price of a site! $50!!! Obviously, I declined his outrageous offer. This is a G'day park and a perfect example of price gouging. If he said it was $10 to use their dump point, I would have understood and been happy to pay a small fee. This is why I always stay at independent van parks. The independently owned parks are usually a lot cheaper, and I fear the big chains will eventually take over them all. That would be a disaster. I'm quite sure the managers of this park will have many excuses for charging someone full price of using their dump point. I'm looking forward to reading them! Let's be clear about one thing. This was in December in TENNANT CREEK, so they wouldn't have many people wanting to use their precious dump point.
