a week agoBooked a drive through site for two nights. Told them my rig was 14.7m Site nowhere near able to park there Arrived 9pm after a 13 hour drive with area I was in packed with cars > 2 on some sites, Got down the lane with inches to spare Rang office to say could not fit Checked out this morning and they refused to refund the second night , Had not connected to power or water Very very misleading advertising to say they have " "drive through sites " Do not stay at this park,

2 weeks agoWe checked in today and after staying 3 hours we had to leave. We booked for two nights, however today and tomorrow the temperatures are 36 and 38 respectively. When we entered the room, thankfully the aircon was on but after waiting for 1 hour it didn’t cool down the rooms. The aircon is positioned in the lounge / dining and no aircon in the two bedrooms. On a nice day the small aircon could be sufficient but not on a day when the temperature is more than 35. We called the after hours mobile number and asked if they have any other villa/ cabins available, she said no. Then we asked for at least a fan and she was nice enough to give us the feeble office fan. We waited for the 2 nd bedroom to cool down a bit with the aircon and the fan in the middle room. However it didn’t work, which was not a surprise. The shower rail in the bathroom is positioned in a way that if someone is unmindful they can bump their head when getting up from the toilet. It happened with both my child and husband! We did ask the lady if the charge for at least one night can be refunded as they are unable to either upgrade our room or provide a portable aircon for the second room. She said since it is “change of mind” nothing can be refunded although we stayed for 3 hours instead of two nights!

3 weeks agoPowered on-site. Lots of space, clean tidy amenities. Staff are good people to deal with. Highly recommend, close to trains and main street (walking distance if your up for a stroll )

2 months agoEasy late check in. The cabin was clean and tidy with good kitchen facilities. Lots of road noise. Poor Telstra phone service in the bedroom, and wifi doesn’t reach the cabin well.

5 months agoI recently spent 10 nights at the Gawler Caravan Park, and my experience was just okay. The park's location is its strongest aspect - it's within easy walking distance to Gawler's center, shops, pubs, and restaurants. Public transport is also convenient, with the Gawler Central train station nearby. However, the powered sites are poorly laid out, and the amenities are not centrally located, making for a long and sometimes an uncomfortable walk to the bathroom, especially at night. The camp kitchen is also very basic and underwhelming with only the most basic cooking facilities My main gripe is the price - over $40 per night for a powered site feels excessive, especially considering the park seems to prioritize cabin customers over caravan patrons. Overall, the park is average, and while its location is a plus, the drawbacks and high price might make me consider alternative options in the future.
