2 months agoWe were blown away by the effort that has gone into the Reno’s and refresh of this place. The new facilities and pools were so nice and a lot of thought has gone into the design to be really functional spaces. The sites are lovely and grassy with plenty of shade and space. I would have love to see a little playground but aside from that we had a really great stay and will be recommending to our friends.

3 months agoGreat caravan park terrific amenities and 2 swim pools. Well kept grassed sites and 3 minutes to the pub, good food and cold beer. It's a fishing place mainly so no swimming in the sea cos there's sharks and crocs.

5 months agoFantastic Location - only approx 90 mins from Darwin! Check in was simple in front office; sites are from 11am. Map provided with info and PIN number to be used upon entry/exit. Powered en-suite site was $70 a night. Generous size, we had a tent but most sites had very large caravans. Dead grass so quite dusty and scant shade. Ensuites are in groups of four. Modern and clean. Small soap and two rolls of toilet paper provided. Tip: bring your own bath mat/hand towel. Modern Facilities in centre of park: Main Pool - really nice, surrounded by lush plants. 8 plastic pool lounges. (The original pool is at the other end of the park) Communal fire pit with wood provided. Camp kitchen: 4 large bbq plates that you just push a button to operate. There were some gas burners for frypans but we couldn’t get them to light. Two large sinks and bench seating. Clean. Building across contained an Undercover area with fridges/toaster/sink with tv area with seating; toilets to the side and the Laundry: modern machines; $5 a load and $1 for 6 min dryer. Clothes lines to the rear. It was a very busy park, however quiet at night. Pet friendly. A short walk away is the Dundee Tavern. I did a separate review for this - recommend going there for a meal. There is a small shop attached where you can buy hot chickens/cold drinks/ice creams/essentials. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is well run, clean, updated and modern. We might return in wet season and stay in a cabin - they looked new also. Highly Recommend.

4 months agoWhile the new pool, ablution block, and camp kitchen are impressive additions to Dundee Beach Caravan Park, our overall experience was marred by several issues. Firstly, the reception staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, which created a negative start to our stay. Secondly, our site had a tree directly in the middle, preventing us from enjoying the much-needed shade of our awning during the hot days. As a group of five who requested sites close together, four were next to each other, but the fifth member was on the opposite side of the park, while there was a vacant site next door for 3 of the 4 nights. Despite repeated requests to reception, our friends were denied access to the vacant site. It's a shame that these issues overshadowed the positive aspects of the park.
