3 weeks agoOver the last 4 years I've spent almost an entire year at Discovery Parks Rockhampton. Staff have always been fantastic and whenever something has been needed they've been happy to help. Rooms have been great. The studio rooms are good for singles or a couple. There is a stove and microwave and while you won't be cooking a gourmet meal you'll be able to cook just fine. The deluxe cabins are a step up with a separate room for kids to sleep and better cooking options. Their small motel style rooms are fine for a night or two or if you're on a budget, but not the most comfortable. Water Park is open 7 days and kids will love it. These last school holidays the park put on a petting zoo, blocked off road areas for pavement drawing, had a tennis competition. If you're near the main road it can be noisy as Rocky locals seem to think it's a drag strip. We've also had instances of people jumping the fence trying to steal things. It was reported to park management and police and the park is installing new fencing, cameras, lighting and upgrading security on the cabins. Staff and management really do help a lot.

in the last weekI’ve been staying in Rocky frequently for the past four years and this is by far the best place in the city. Secure, well looked after, helpful staff, close to everything you need. My kids have had a ball with all the things for them to do here. I can’t say enough good things. Outstanding!!

a month agoStayed on a powered site. Dog was welcome, advised my mother had a disability, we were situated right across from the amenities, laundry room for the days we were there. Will definitely visit again, on our return trip. All the staff were welcoming, offering assistance when asked. Kids Water Park is the added bonus of those travelling with children.

a month agoWe stopped in on our way through too Bowen and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. We even got upgraded to a bigger room! The water play and pools are like a mini Wet ‘N’ Wild ( on the Gold Coast ). Overall excellent place to stay with or without children!! It’s great!

3 months agoThis is the first stop on our holiday north and we arrived late which was okay because I rang ahead and they had left us our information in their safe at the front of the park. Our site was easy to locate so we set up for the night. The amenities was absolutely brilliant as the showers were so nice and hot. It was great as it was pretty cold when we had arrived. The park is located in a great location and is easy accessible to getting out and exploring the city of Rockhampton. If we are ever heading north again, we would be more than happy to stay at this park in the future.
