Discovery Parks Port Hedland

We recently stayed in our Motorhome and all the staff, particular mention Deb, went well above expectations, assisting us to have the best stay whilst in Port Hedland. Location was fantastic for ease of catching bus out the front to the shopping centre. The pool was very clean and at a comfortable 27. Highly recommend

The price paid for this room is robbery! Stayed twice, two separate times. The room is out dated. - Black mould growing in the shower and the Aircon unit. - One of the towels left on my bed was brown from dirt, not washed properly. - The light from the campsites continued to shine through the sides of the curtain, which i had to use tape to close the curtain for privacy as well. - Toilet needs cleaning thoroughly and needs a new toilet seat, i was disgusted to see this on arrival. - Plumbing sewage smell throughout the room! The rooms need's to be soaked in bleach, that is the only chemical that will ensure your rooms smell clean, because im telling you now they don't smell clean. There is no room on the bench to prepare food unless you move the microwave. The place is old and definitely not worth $250 + In Broome i would get a luxury hotel at $210. People need to stop 🛑 paying these ridiculous amounts of over priced accommodations. That's why they get away with charging so much money for rooms that need to be bulldosed or fully renovated. Very disappointed and would not recommend. Better off staying at a Station!

Good park, but nothing special. Toilets need better cleaning but usable. Sites are awkward to get on with a van and laneways far too narrow for vans. Park is a fair way from town and needs a car to get to most places. Cost was reasonable for location and facilities offered. Park is quiet in evening and feels safe with no 2 legged individual issues observed.

The park and amenities are very good, accessible to the beach through the cabins. Sites are a good size with room for van and car next to it. The only problem was the width of the roads, very tight to get in and out. Hitching up, the car completely blocked the road and we had a queue of 3 vans waiting.

They only have powered sites but they do have 2 sites designed for tents (call to book). They are however, right at the front so very busy going past which is especially noisy when you're in a tent! The kitchen here was one of the worst we have experienced at any G'day parks. We tried 2 bbqs and both were very poor and would only head a small area. It had 2 hobs but only one one work and barely even then. We used our own camping stove in the end. The pool was nice and staff friendly but I wouldn't recommend a long stay here
