2 months agoNice place to spend a couple of days. Caravan spaces are large, level and tidy. The park has a lot of FIFO mine works accommodated there as well. Conference facilities, breakfast, and buffet dinners in the restaurant as well as a bar with a happy hour. Short walk to the Beach Club and restaurant. The town itself does not have a coffee shop or grocery shop as such so make sure you purchase your groceries before travelling to Onslow.

2 months agoThis is the third time we have stayed here in the past 5 or 6 years. The park is clean, spacious, has good facilities & a relaxed feel about it. It is also pet friendly which was great as we had our big old dog with us. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our van site was shady which I'd requested but after the first night asked if we could be moved as I found it too noisy at night due to the air con/refrigeration units nearby. No trouble at at all & next day given a much quieter site which was perfect. The park is a little out of town (not far) and also caters for workers in the mining industry close by. A quiet park & once again we enjoyed our stay. A big thankyou to everyone who works here.

3 months agoAfter reading the reviews we were little reluctant to stay here, however it was the only caravan park that had availability. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the sites were huge, the grounds were clean, it was nice to be out of the red dirt and to have bitumen road and gravel sites, amenities are clean and plentiful, we didn't have any trouble with noise, there was a slight smell near the laundry / amenities but none near our campsite. We ended up extending our stay here, had sites 32 and 20 , both great sites. Free dryer, car and boat wash.

2 months agoWe booked here as we were unaware there was a fishing comp on and the better camp park was fully booked and the overflow was in a dirt paddock, no shade no facilities (you couldn’t even use the park. Facilities) and asking $30 a night. We heard from local it’s usually $10!!!!! Anyway the managers at Discovery were nice but one was sprouting on about how they made so much money. Our site was horrible. No views, no grass and the facilities were a long walk past fish cleaning as well as the delivery bay. Very smelly. They cater for mine workers and have not thought too much about holidaymakers at all. Even though the leaflet tells workers to reverse park they were not and the reverse beepers started at 4.30am!!! Avoid this place and the other overflow and camp free by the river.

2 months agoBooked in at 12. Told just turn up yr ok. Arrived on motorcycles. Office locked called number at 4.25 Staff answered and was in office. You’re too late. Explained that I called. Go somewhere else. Free camping at Ashburton. She then walked out straight past us while we were on phones trying to find somewhere else. Drove down the to ocean view caravan park. Great place to stay. This discovery park is a disgrace
