a month agoWhat a fantastic park. Neat n tidy and clean amenities. Large sites. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There's is a great camp kitchen with potbelly fire for the cooler nights. The children love feeding the friendly camel, pig, sheep, cows n goat. Close to Cowaramup and all the wineries. A 15 minute drive to Margaret River. The park is quiet, a great spot to base ourselves for a couple of weeks while we discover all the wider area has to offer. The park is dog friendly.

2 weeks ago3 night, pre booked stay, 2 adults, WA school holidays last weekend. October 4-6th. Park is situated just north of Cowaramup on the highway, with a dedicated turn lane. We took issue however as the signage had not been updated to reflect Discovery Park and instead read Taunton Family/Big 4 leaving us to think we had the wrong park and went in into town to call and check. It would have been helpful to have advised us by email /call or text of this when we booked. We raised this at reception when we checked in and was told signage was delayed, this was the same response when I emailed head office to advise that the issue had caused us a near accident when trying to re-enter the highway after we thought it was the wrong place. The park itself is rustic, borders in part onto a dam with terrific birdlife and is geared towards families with a big play area, daily animal feeding and lots of green space. Big camp kitchen and well appointed although dated amenities are well kept. We had a large site which was facing the dam but all others were generous sizing and plenty of aspects to choose from. Daily duck family visits were lovely and although the park was busy it was a great few days.

a month agoWe have been coming here for years with great service. Unfortunately since the change of owners it has gone the wrong direction. The reception staff have very little care for anything you bring up. You never used to be allowed to bring dogs during school holidays, but that had recently changed. Now I feel like I'm living next to to a dog shelter. My partner fell through a concrete slab and not a word from reception or management. This place used to be good.

4 months agoFANTASTIC place! We arrived at night and can't really see the surrounding as its quite dark. In the morning when we open up our door, the scenery is wonderful. There is even flock of ducks on our doorstep. They even asked if our tea is enough and offer to top it up.

4 months agoGreat location as always, love the kitchen area with fireplace and firepit. Good clean facilities, only complaint is its the second time we have had our camp site totally flooded by rain. Think sites need to be raised and or upgraded. Otherwise great friendly location.
