in the last weekWe absolutely loved our stay here, the staff were incredible with their efforts to make sure we knew all the sights seeing in KI. We did a bus tour for the Aurora lights, koala walk and had a cute little camp bbq with everyone. The amenities were always clean and tidy. It felt like we were at home, definitely recommend

a week agoThis is the best camping ground on Kangaroo Island. The sites are generous, the wildlife was magical and best of all - the showers were as good as our bathroom at home. Everything was clean and quiet, and such a great distance to Hanson Bay, Flinders Chase and Seal Bay. It is further from Kingscote, but we didn’t care about doing the drive for a better camp ground. An absolute gem!

a month agoStopped here briefly for lunch as part of a tour cruise, so I can't comment on the accommodation however the picnic areas were lovely and we even saw some koalas. There's toilets on site and a camp kitchen we used, as well as coffee, small range of grocery items and local gifts available in the reception.

3 months agocabins were booked out so got a motel style room instead. it was a block of some 10 rooms with a common room cum kitchen. room was smallish in size but served well for sleep. found it quiet enough despite being directly opposite the common room. probably depends on the mix of guests for the day. the bathroom was a bit problematic in that the shower cubicle was shallow and the shower curtain didn't reach down to the floor therefore water kept splashing out and wetting the whole floor. kitchen was good for simple cooking. there was a gas stove and microwave. was glad to find oil and seasoning. plenty of cutlery and crockery. location was great for wildlife sanctuary and flinders chase NP but far from main town so no option to dine out unless prepared to drive slowly and tackle ubiquitous wildlife on the road back at night. reception doubled as little tuckshop and was able to get minute steak. lovely wildlife in the park itself too!
