Discovery Parks Byron Bay

Close to everything was perfekt. Great facilities for both adults and children. Lots of events. The sweetest staff (Angela is an Angel) Clean toilets and common areas like the kitchen. Perfectly sized camping site. Nice price as well. Travelling in a campervan as a family of 5 (kids age from 7 to 15). Second time we stayed here. Last time 8 years ago (why so long ago - well we are from Denmark, so not every day we come by Byron Bay)

Avoid this campsite! This campsite was a huge disappointment. The tent area is located in a very remote and inconvenient part of the park, right next to the Byron Bay highway. The constant noise from passing cars made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep! The campsite itself was in terrible condition. The grass was mostly dead, with lots of sand, rocks, and uneven ground. Even after laying down two layers of ground mats and a carpet, the surface was still so hard that it hurt to walk on. To make matters worse, the tents are packed extremely close to each other with no privacy at all. If you open your tent window, people in the tents next to you can see everything—it’s super awkward! On top of that, the location is so far out that there’s no WiFi and barely any phone signal. It feels completely disconnected, but not in a good way. I absolutely do not recommend this campsite. It’s uncomfortable, noisy, and lacks basic amenities. Save your money and book somewhere else!

Service was fantastic considering our booking wasn't in the system, we were given keys and a room on the spot being Christmas night that our booking was for. Location and kids activities within the park and surrounding is fantastic. The room however needed some attention to cleaning as there was mold in the bathroom shower and ceilings a long width a very dusty dirty floor. Some of the linen was stained and curtains too. There were little things like the screen doors not shutting and skirting boards falling a part. We have yet to mention to reception as they are not available until 8am in the morning.

Self-catering, affordable, and geared for young families. Watermark and play areas make this a great holiday destination. We stayed overnight and enjoyed the facilities.

Huge park and very well kept. Lots of accommodation options for all budgets. We stayed in a lower price point cabin. The cabin was older style but clean and comfortable. There is a very nice amenities block & camp kitchen which is accessible for all. Would absolutely return and try one of the more expensive cabins. Highly recommended. As a plus search out the local shopping centre and Sunday Sustainable Bakery....best pastries ever.
