3 months agoWe first went to the Bailey Bar Caravan park in August 2015 and loved it, mainly due to the community feel of the park and the famous camp oven dinners and bbq's that we enjoyed. Fast forward to September 2024 and our experience was sadly terrible, so much so we only stayed one night and cancelled the other two we had booked. I think that although I am sure he works hard, the son of the two owners is unable to run the park, sadly the father is in ill health and cannot cook hence the lack of camp oven dinners being available. However, the main issue with our stay was cabin no3. Filthy, so much so that my daughter's feet were black as coal after she danced barefoot in the cabin. None of the bedside lamps worked on either the bunk beds or the main bed, they were actually falling off the walls in the bunk room. The blanket was stained and definitely not clean and the sofa was also stained. It is a shame as I think the son is a nice guy but he's not able to cope with the demands of the park. Turns out the owners are not the same as in 2015. Monday night was $135, very expensive for what it was, but when my wife said it was more to stay on Friday and Saturday night, I said no. We stayed at the Waltzing Matilda motel instead and it was like chalk and cheese.

4 months agoStayed in pet friendly cabin. Won't do that again. Cabins needed upgrades about 10 years ago. Bathroom cupboard was swollen and the extremely strong smell of urine was next level. Towels were brown with bleach stains, bed sheets clean, blankets suspect. Beds hard and very old. For the price, total $150 p/n, we were even charged extra (extra $30 per night with no explanation) as we attended for the Mulga Cup, we were very disappointed. If bailey bar don't intend on renovating them fast, just bulldoze and put camping space there. I spoke to a few locals about it and it seemed common knowledge their cabins were ordinary.

a month agoWARNING!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! ANYWHERE IS BETTER THAN HERE!! If I could give this place minus 0 stars, I would. There are much better options in Charleville (pet friendly). The cabin we were supposed to stay in was filthy and outdated 10 years ago. Towels were ripped, bedding was stinky and disgusting, the couch made me feel itchy after standing next to it and just an overall creepiness about the place. Staff were completely strange and not warm and welcoming. The whole park needs to be bulldozed. Will not be back and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

5 months agoWe had a powered site. Arrived late due to unforeseen circumstances. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. Welcoming, empathetic and couldn’t do enough to get us settled in. Thank you to the kind host family that take great care of their guests. Highly recommend this caravan park if you’re after a peaceful, safe, secure family orientated environment where they take the time to ensure your stay is more than satisfactory.
