in the last weekThis was truly the worst accommodation experience of my life! The backpacker was filthy, the facilities were outdated, and the common areas looked like they were still under construction, yet the accommodation wasn’t even particularly cheap! The backpacker had around 20–30 rooms per floor, with each room accommodating up to 6 people, but there were only 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets on each floor. Isn’t that far too few?! On the day of my stay, when I returned to my room at night, I found someone else sleeping in the bed I had checked into! When I reported this to the staff, their solution was simply to give me a new set of sheets. They still charged me the full price! This wasn’t my mistake, so why should I have to bear the consequences? The backpacker manager’s attitude was also terrible. My three friends and I had booked the room together, and while I was actively trying to assert my rights, the manager hysterically told me to get out of the backpacker. He said he would refund my booking fee the next day but refused to refund the fees for my other three friends. It was all part of the same booking, so I can’t understand this absurd way of handling the situation! Let me state this clearly once again: this was the WORST accommodation experience of my life!

a month agoRooms and building were a bit sketch but fine. Bathrooms were clean. The service was very good and accommodating! We checked in a night and the process was really easy and simple. Just a heads up: some people live in the hostel full time so it's less of a backpackers hostel. We were happy to only be there for one night.

3 weeks agoIt's okay for the price. However, if you are a light-sleeper or value your sleep, I wouldn't recommend this place. At about 9pm-10pm, a rattling started in the room above me. It continued through the night, and to add to that, a group of people started playing music and talking loudly (10 pm). The room was clean and tidy, with no complaints on the condition of the room, for the price. I would say that if you're looking for a place to stay for one night, this is sufficient. It's close to a SkyBus stop. Therefore, you can easily reach the airport.

a week agoAsked for some peace and quiet but the owner of this property enjoys having conversations out in the corridor past 10pm. When confronted he just ignores it - again this is not the guests this is the caretaker. The whole purpose I came here was to get rest having to wake up at 4am if you want sleep don’t expect to get it here.

a month agoFor the price this is really good. Beds are super comfortable and the shared areas were filled with people but clean and quiet. I can see why it does get bad reviews tho, as I imagine we lucked out with our room.
