5 months agoGood hotel. First, the good points of this hotel: the location is excellent, the beds are comfortable (in private rooms) and the kitchen is spacious (though it becomes a nightmare around January). The building has historical charm (you might need a bodybuilder to open the windows) Additionally, there is the occasional surprise of a fire alarm going off once or twice a month at night, offering the thrilling experience of watching the fire department in action. As for the drawbacks, if you're in a third-floor room, you might wake up to pigeons watching you sleep. If you want to have an interesting experience in Hobart, I recommend this hotel.

a month agoGreat location. Reception doesn't open until 9.30am which is a bit odd, but staff is very friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are nice, good value for money.

4 months agoIn fact, when I booked Backpackers Imperial Hotel, I knew that the reviews were quite bad, but after reading the reviews carefully, they were all unexpected events. After I made special confirmation, I felt that these should be controllable, but the facts proved me wrong. First of all, their counter arrives late and leaves early, which is very inconvenient for check-in and check-out. Again, I used the shower on the first floor on the first night, and the water temperature was very low. When I returned to the room, there was no heating inside, and I was so cold that I couldn't sleep. After the reaction the next day, they told me that the water temperature on the second floor was higher. I turned on the heater, but I didn't know that the device that looked like a music player was a heater. I pressed it to turn it off. I studied it for a long time and put a book underneath it to use it.

6 months agoLived here for over a year due to housing issues and I'm grateful but it's a nightmare to cook and because of poor walls did not get my bond back. That's okay I live in a new apartment with all amenities for $70 more per fortnight and so happy. Also don't have to deal with French people with constant marijuana and being loud after 10pm.

6 months agoit's a good place to crash if you are on a budget. The rooms are not great, but you meet some interesting people in the dining, lounge and rec areas. communal bathrooms (mens and ladies) are old but functional.
