a month agoRoom is a bit small but kitchen and bathroom are large enough. Love the shared space but no free baggage storage in case you arrive early

2 months agoThe location is strategic, close enough to reach Flinders Street Station and Southern Cross Station. There is tram stop No.1 just in front of the door. Security is good. Only visitors who have the card can access the doors, including toilet door. There is communal area and kitchen too. They also provide breakfast in the communal area. I highly recommend this place for any travelers who come to Melbourne. It’s not pricey but good facilities.

3 months agoGreat setup regarding the rooms, the hang out area downstairs; brilliant communal kitchen. Good price. Close to everything. Friendly helpful staff. The site has a really good feel to it for working or eating too.

4 months agoOverall the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean however the beds were incredibly creaky and there were no power sockets near the beds. There is constant background noise from nearby roads and train lines - but that come along with being so central. My main complaint is the kitchen which smelled like it had been mopped with toilet water or a sewage pipe was leaking. As well as this the state of the kitchen was awful - every sink was blocked and filled with dirty dishes and even 'clean' dishes still had food in them. Every other hostel I have stayed at is able to keep on top of this so I'm not sure what the issue was here. Having said this, it is a great location and as long as you are eating out, it would be perfectly pleasant.

2 months agoOverall a good hostel to stay, comfortable. Only down side is the music is aways so loud at the communal area which can be really distracting when people are trying to have conversations
