2 months agoThis is a great place to stay and it’s just across the street from the train station. Price is excellent. The facility is clean and very secure! You are in the cairns CBD with grocery stories, Restrauent sand the harbour. If you’re interested in day tours, those can be booked onsite at the front desk! We had a private double room and shared the washrooms… again excellent. The kitchen and eating areas are huge. We stayed for 5 nights and had a great experience staying here. My wife and I are both 68 years old, and it was great meeting similar and younger aged people staying here as well! The YHA system is a great accommodation provider if you’re coming to Australia on holiday!

2 weeks agoWonderful check-in staff. Really well presented bed linen, made my bed as soon as I got to the room. Paid for breakfast the following morning with no fuss.

5 months agoA good hostel for a fair Australian price. Got a private room and stayed here for one week (100 bucks per night). Die place is clean, mostly staff is nice (the girl from Chile & Argentinian and the one with the curls) Sadly it was really night during the night when we left the window open because of a party hostel next street.

4 months agoI had a very uncomfortable experience due to the mattress. The mattress was so old that it sank significantly when I slept on it, making it feel like I was lying on a hard piece of metal. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep with such poor-quality bedding. However, the location is great, which is a positive aspect.

6 months agoOne of the best hostels I've been to so far! The staff is very friendly and you can hire a towel for free. The rooms are very clean. It's not a party hostel and there are also older people so it's perfect for people who want a relaxed stay. It's also close to the shopping centre with Woolworths and Coles and close to the Greyhound bus stop. To the city centre it's just a short walk. The only negative thing is that there are no elevators and the A/C didn't work that good.
