I had the pleasure of sharing a bunk with a female staff member who was the rudest person I think I have ever met. She verbally abused people during our stay, screamed incredibly loudly at people and every night (in the middle of the night) would turn the light on multiple times, while laughing about the fact she woke everyone in the room. These are only a few examples of her behaviour. I went a week without being able to sleep a full night and worrying about what horrible tricks she was going to pull. The energy in the hostel was unsettling, hostile and we did not feel like the staff wanted guests there at all. They obviously know about her behaviour and cover for her. It is a shame because the location is good, and there are some absolutely lovely people staying there. I'm not a bad review kind of person, but I don't want anyone else to go through that!

    1. Locations: Okay There’s bus stop nearby, and not too far to go to Coles and other supermarkets. 2. Kitchen: Okay I think their kitchen is okay. It got the stove, and there’s fridge. They have 4 sinks. Comparing many terrible things in the hostel, the kitchen is not bad. 3. Room: old and broken. I stayed in 2 people room and 8 people room. Yes, they do have air conditioner. But it’s not working. You can see it on, but room is still hot and the remote is not working. The things and furniture in the room are dirty and broken and old. It’s like a cheap jail. And they don’t have any lockers in the room!! So keep your expensive items with you is the best option. 4. Bathroom: old/ smelly/ big window is open to the driveway. I think the bathroom here is terrible. Yes, you do have hot water, and the toilet is not stuck. And that’s it. For the toilet, when you finish, you need to go to bathroom to wash your hands, both 1st and 2nd floor with same situation. So there’s chance that you got nowhere to wash your hands while others are using bathroom. And for the toilet and bathroom at 1st floor. The window is open to driveway. So basically everyone can see everything when they’re outside the window if the window is open for keeping ventilation. (Notes for the picture: Their shower head is about 150 cm high. So actually the widow is from 140cm high to the top.) 5. Other: (1) reception opens at 10am. No one is there before 10am. And during lunchtime, 11:30-1pm, there is no one in reception!! It’s the most late one I’ve ever seen. And absurd reception function. (2) SMELLY! The building is full of a strange smell. (3) but be fair, the price is cheaper than others. (4) if you want to go upstairs, the stairs are outside. So when it rains, you are needed to pass by the rain for 2 seconds then you can reach the stairs, which is annoying. 6. Summary: If you just need to sleep for very short time and don’t care for hygiene, here’s a choice for budget travelers. However, I don’t think the owner is paying attention to run the hostel. You will see broken windows, chipped tiles. So, I will say. It’s a hostel providing basic functions for you to sleep/ shower/ cook, but with the low quality. And I don’t think I would like to recommend it to other travelers.

Wouldn’t recommend unless it is your only option type of thing, can barely charge a phone due to their electricity board being so weak. A general odd vibe and zero privacy
