2 months agoCaravan Parks don't get much better than Devanport's Discovery Park. Everything is spotless. Staff are friendly and efficient. Great communication when we were delayed due to poor weather. Close to the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal and City Centre. Amenities are superior to most parks that we have stayed in over the years. We cannot recommend this Caravan Park highly enough. Caravan site were easily accessed. Definitely a great place to stay.

2 months agoI have spent 6 nights here, and due to unfortunate weather I am unable to get back to the West Coast due to road closures. The price to extend an extra night... the make an offer bull.... (they tell you a price they will accept and in line with their 20% general new booking policy) was higher than my previous nights. So I asked for a late check out of 11am, an extra hour given I had to wait until 9am to call the office. The late checkout was denied stating it was down to be cleaned so unless i booked the extra night, I had to be out at 10am. The worst discovery experience I have ever had. Tasmania is experiencing the worst weather and they couldn't even allow an extra hour to check out. Would never recommend them after this. Go elsewhere... they didnt even service the room in 6 nights... Discovery Hobart or Haspen offer exceptional service. Oh and when i dropped the key back they had 4 or 5 staff just hanging in the office...so go figure... the cleaners were there just hanging out on Sunday rates.. unless they get paid cash? But if they couldn't allow me an hour, yet they claimed keeping their cleaners back was the reason.. ummm might want to ask your cleaners to get to work! There should be an office camera and I recorded the verbal exchange. Happy to meet with the manager and state manager. Worst customer service at a Discovery park EVER.
