in the last weekNot enough stars to give. The scenery is spectacular, the facilities were clean with plenty of showers and toilets. Washing machines available. Nice big camp kitchen. Numerous walking tracks of varying difficulties. Fire pits are at the sites, and wood is available from the store. The store has basic provisions and souvenirs and ice creams. Pool on site. Just a brilliant site and the drives around Rawnsely are easy and picturesque. Heaps of wildlife abound the area. One of our top places we have visited so far. Aeroplane ride over the pound was well worth the money. The young lass in the shop was a great help. Fuel at a reasonable price, and dump points on site. 8 stars.

a month agoMy wife and I spent 3 nights here and had the best time. The friendly and lovely KIm greeted us and was very helpful. Thank you. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious! The most tender lamb. Room 20 was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend

in the last weekJust spent 3 nights in free camping . AWESOME park . Great showers . Flushing toilets throughout park. Downside . We need a generator at times to give us power .. generators can only operate between 8 am & 4 pm . Most evenings we did not get back to our campsite until 6 pm .. I believe Rawnsley should increase their generator operating hrs like other parks till 8 pm

a week agoGreat place to stay. We set up out in the unpowered bush camping section right on the side of the dry creek bed. It was only a short walk to the toilets from our spot. Don’t forget the Woolshed restaurant, the food is top notch.

a week agoMy wife and I were travelling with another couple and stayed in one of the 2 bedroom eco villas. Each bedroom has its own ensuite. The villa is modern and well equipped for the independent traveller. It is spacious with large dining, living and kitchen areas. There is a large verandah with BBQ overlooking the southern ridge of Wilpena Pound. The king size bed was comfortable, showers were good, wifi is OK. The pool is located adjacent to the villas - the water was cold in October but very refreshing after a day of activity in the Flinders Ranges. It’s luxury living for a remote location and not cheap.
