Back in a beautiful spot after 2 years. Have seen the whales and many beautiful wildflowers including Snail and Donkey orchids. Waychinicup Inlet is postcard stunning. We booked direct with Alan at the Caravan park and on arrival discovered there was a winter special on offer. Thanks Joanne, this was very much appreciated. The park is immaculate, with amazing facilities. Lots of walk trails surround the park. We had lunch at the cafe today. 4 days won't be enough but we will be back. A bit sooner this time. Fuel, liquor and a range of grocery items are available. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+++

This is our second time staying in this caravan park. First time was camping over Christmas and it was wonderful. This time we came back for the whales and have booked a cabin for our family of 4, but for some reason my booking only showed 2 people. I emailed Cheynes caravan park the morning before leaving Perth that there was an error in my booking not showing the kids numbers. As reception was poor, they tried to ring me and I missed the call but got the message that I will need to pay extra $90 for the kids, which I did when we arrived at 5pm. The room was clean but just disappointed that the kids beds weren’t made. The photos on the websites had all beds made so was expecting that. The sheets and blankets were just on top of the mattress. We also had issue on the oven, but they were quick to help us out on that. We still look forward to coming back to see the whales again.

Very disappointed to say the least … we have been going to cheynes beach caravan park for a few years now … we booked a week there awhile back but unfortunately after 2 days there i suffered a medical episode that needed attention so we left the park. We thought we would still be able to use our days we paid for at a later stage…. I tried to rebook now and was told there was no credit on my account and the owner of the park checked us out ( apparently they don’t refund or give credit) I wasn’t asking for my money back, just wanted to use what we paid for …. Ive lost my faith in humanity and can’t believe the owner is so unsympathetic and cold hearted to treat us like this when I was so dam sick. The gentleman running the page now is very unfriendly and not accommodating either… this park needs to remember without people they won’t have a business! * YOU are choosing this platform! A simple message or phone call to us or the owner is not what you want to offer then you need to make a decision if you’re running the business.…. YOU forget who the customer is…. If they wanted to give us a credit it would have been on our account…. Why on earth must a paying customer wait on the leisurely return of the owner to go on holiday…. We wanted to be there already on the weekend. Clearly this is how loyal customers are being treated. Please show me the customer service! Update : clearly money is the route of all evil…. We’ve had no correspondence what so ever from the owners!

We just returned back from camping 3 days at this site. We wish we had more time as the services of the camp are exceptional and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The site itself is at an amazing spot, you can watch whales from your tent. We made a decision to go every year to watch whales from this camp site. Thank you to all the staff at Cheynes Beach Caravan Park.

Im sure it's good but management need to be much clearer on their confusing and self opinions of what is considered an acceptable dog and their pet policy! Especially since they advertise as dog friendly but really are not clear on this until after you book and pay. To be clear and to provide some feed back to the park owners. 1. Clearly outline what is an acceptable dog breed and what that is on your park rules and conditions so it is clear to all. If it is there then no issues. Presently it is not. 2. Don't make up your mind after a potential client has paid then tell them sorry management don't like that breed. Ps. I am still waiting for my money back which you claim will be 3 days which you got same day booking was made! 3. It obvious you need to review the verified Australian listed dangerous dog breeds. A blue heeler/cattle dog is not listed on this or considered dangerous or a pest animal. 4. Your policy and biased opinion of what is an acceptable dog is out of line with all other associated G'day parks. We have stayed at many G'day associated parks who advertise as dog friendly and not 1 of them has ever had a concern or rejected a booking because of a blue healer. We rang G'day parks head office who whilst admit your park is owned privately and management are free to make their own decisions, agreed it seems strange if no other park ever had an issue. The park we are presently staying at which is also privately owned, but part of the G'day parks family, has no issues nor does the one we will be staying with instead of yours, given your unsupported and apparently owner biased rejection of the dog which you explained the owners decided they don't like as being your only reason for cancelling. We have noted on dog friendly websites your rules and the experience we had with our booking to clearly warn dog owner travellers to go elsewhere. Your claim to be dog friendly/pet friendly only appears 50% true and not clear until you pay, get a conformation of booking then find it is rejected later on basis that management makes a bias decision on the pet without any clear supporting facts or clear explanation other than we dont like that type of dog!!!! As mentioned, your terms and conditions whilst talking about dogs dont specify breeds you reject but you still decide this biasly post booking and taking payment! Note: our dog has travelled extensively over 12 years, well behaved, never caused issues and we are responsible owners who pick up after our pet, ensure the the dog is on a lead and does not impact other travellers, wildlife or propery. Note: it has to be the worst booking experience we have had with a G'day park in 12 years of travel. Lucky for us you are the odd ones out. I'm sure the park feedback will be some excuse to suit them, but I would recommend removing dog friendly or even pet friendly or updating your terms and conditions on pets to add breeds you will not accept. Presently it comes across as having a discriminatory bias without a full understanding of dog breeds, their disposition or behavours or if they are a problem breed or on a dangerous dog register. If you are a traveller with dogs reading this, book with G'day parks in Albany as they are much more accomodating and dont have the same bias (they have reasonable and sensible pet rules), nor will you need to deal with same frustrating owners post booking decision process.
