2 months agoPowered site, lovely and grassy, great trees for shade (but enough to still charge solar) Camp kitchen was great, HUGE laundry there were 6 washers and a few driers. Showers were great and there are 2 pools! Super friendly reception service when we turned up (not booked) after closing. 10/10

5 months agoHad a fantastic stay in one of the new cabins at Katherine Discovery Park. They are beautifully appointed 2 bedroom, one bathroom cabins that were only recently opened for business. Everything was fresh and new including all the appliances and linen. It has all a full kitchen and everything you need for an extended or short term stay. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two single beds. There is a washer/dryer in the bathroom and the shower is a good size with two different shower heads. There's a nice little balcony looking over the new pool. The cabin was $360 for one night and would suit a family of four or 3 or 4 mates travelling together. All the staff we dealt with were also very helpful and friendly. Overall we had an excellent stay and would recommend this place over any other accommodation in Katherine.

3 months agoPowered sit for a few nights. Lovely place to base activities from. Clean amenities - the ones we used were at the end of the park and were a little old but well-maintained. Plenty of new changes to be seen with new cabins, pool area and they are attempting to grow more grass. Sites were a decent size and had some shady trees to boot. I’d recommend a stay here if you’re in the area.

4 months ago2 night pre booked stay, powered site, also stayed 1 night prior to going to Darwin and Dundee. Large wide grassy site, #53 plenty of room for the van and car, easy access to the amenities and laundry/camp kitchen. The laundry also includes an outside washing line area with heaps of space for everyone, such as change to the usual three or four wires. Ladies amenities have 4 showers, toilets and basins. More regular cleaning of the showers would be helpful when the park is full as it was during our stay, muddy prints and hair in drains is very unappealing. Staff on both of our stays have been welcoming, happy and helpful and were certainly part of our decision to return for the second stay. Park is quiet when it should be, has two pools and is treed and with many shady sites
