We booked so-called 'Superior' Family Villa in September for four nights paying above $800. Unfortunately the 'superior' villa has a smell of mold, presumably connected to a wobbly floor in one bedroom. We have reported the issue to the office, but they were unfriendly and not helpful. We are from interstate, and could not find an alterantive accommodation due to high season, and had to stay for two nights out of four. Needless to say the Holiday Park refused to make a refund for two nights. Although the location is good, I cannot rate this business with more than a single star.

Beautiful park in a quiet location surrounded by lush mountains. Very busy and people were very packed in but everyone was friendly and even though we stayed on a Friday night there was little noise. Amenities were clean and never busy for the amount of people at the park. Camp kitchen was huge and had toasters, kettles, small oven and microwave as well as BBQs. Pet friendly was why we stayed and although we saw lots of others with dogs there wasn't any annoying barking. The freshwater creek by the side of the park was an amazing place to take the doggo for a swim. There is also a shopping centre 5min drive away so that was handy. Great park. Will definitely stay again

We have a powered ensuite site , sites are generous and facilities are excellent. Have stayed here for 2 months quiet spot but central to Cairns city and northern beaches, love it.

The sites are a decent enough size but could definitely be longer. Our friends in a 19ft van only just fit on their site. The roads are fairly narrow as well, so backing a trailer in can be really fiddly and difficult, especially if the site across the road from you has someone on it The sites are very lucious and green with a concrete pad and there is plenty of room to park your car on the site as well (except 2 sites i saw didn't have a car park space). One large amenities block with plenty of toilets and showers. The 'dump point' is located at the amenities block and is purely a toilet with no lid or seat. Probably one of the more unpleasant dump points i've used and when walking past (as there is no door) the dump point does emit a rather pungent smell most of the day. I'd highly suggest if you're placed in any site opposite the dump point to request a different site. Pool is great. Really good size and depth, super clean as well. Great poolside decking area too, was very nice to hang around at We did have a green ant nest in a tree behind our site, which actually resulted in the ants dropping off the tree and onto our camper and starting to build nests. Maintenance came and removed the nest, but there was still millions of ants on the tree, so just beware.

Warning think carefully before staying at Crystal Cascades Caravan Park. My exp was far from good. Have stayed here many times and it’s been lovely both staff and grounds but now under new management it’s terrible. The office lady is very rude, on arrival at 10:30 she had us all waiting outside on the road until 11am. 8 cars and vans were backed up waiting until 11am when no one was on the site nor was the site mowed for a new arrival. I’ve never been spoken to like this from any parks I have stayed at. Arrived the day before to check the site( don’t normally do this but had a feeling it wouldn’t fit) the office lady said that’s the site today it could be different tomorrow.!!!! Same site and we didn’t fit. I told her that and she insisted we would and took my money. We didn’t fit and couldn’t access the slide out. She had nothing else and Cairns was full. We were in a pickle. She refunded the money and told me it would be back Friday ( 5 days later) 8 days later it still hasn’t come back. I rang again they were rude to me and said you will have to wait. No compassion for this situation they had put us in just to bad!!!! The past staff were friendly and the park was well maintained. NOW I would never stay here again. This new staff need training in customer service and maintaining the grounds. Keep treating your coustomers like this you won’t have any.
