3 months agoLovely clean park in a central location to the city, shops, Castle Hill and The Strand. Dog friendly with generous sites that the car and caravan could stay hitched, amenities block has many toilets and shower bays with shower curtains and is kept immaculately clean and laundry is adequate with washers ( 4 × $1 per load) , dryers, iron with board and plenty of rotary hoists for drying clothes. Fairly quiet at night considering it's on Ingham Road and near the airport. My power box was really far away and so I had to drive to Bunnings to get a longer power cord so be prepared.

3 months agoI’ve stayed here a few times, in a dog friendly cabin, on a powered site and last weekend in the newly renovated disabled cabin. Great park! Fantastic managers and staff. Clean and well maintained facilities and only a short drive to the city centre and shopping centres.

5 months agoWell located away from the noise. Loved the clean and tidy caravan park, they also have timing for the laundry. Not to mention their staff are so friendly and helpful compared to the Discovery on-call person. Their cleaners also very punctual and friendly. We'll be back !

4 months agoNice Park with very clean amenities. Sites not overly big but lots have cement slabs for Annex. Away from town but easy driving distance and ubers available. Near RAAF base and had 1 night when they must have been doing night training but didn't go too late. Cabins look near and tidy. Recommend this park.

a month agoThere's nothing Not to like about The Coral Coast Tourist Park. From the always happy and (very) accomodating ladies in reception, through to the groundspeople and cleaners. Our stay was stress free. Everything was clean, tidy and organised with easy access from every point in the (not too big) park. Being newby's to caravan park life (including our dog), we had the perfect initiation. For those with big dogs who need more than a lap around the park, you can drive down the end of Mather street (1.3km) to the soccer fields and an off leash dog park. It's a good walk in its self on weekends when there is not too much traffic. The caravan park is situated at the far end opposite the RAAF Base, so we got to see some awesome exercises with Chinooks, Globemasters and Super Hornets on a couple of occasions. From our point of view, this will be our go to park in Townsville for future visits. No need to waste time 'shopping around'. Thanks Lyn, Hayley and your significant others for making us feel at home. We look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future.
