6 months agoGreat spot to park up to go discovering beaches, waterfalls etc. close to everything you need for stocking up. We stayed for 8 nights down the back of the park (site 101- no road noise) near the lap pool and spa 💗 Great nightly rate @ $40. Clean and dog friendly. Highly recommended

7 months agomy partner and I went to go and have a nice weekend in one of the villas with his mum and sister and our 4 month old Labrador. My partner & I arrived and not even 5 minutes later of arriving there were an old couple who complained about our dog being inside the villa. The owner came to the villa all 5 of us were staying in and basically told us we need to get rid of the dog or leave. We went to go and talk to the owner at the front desk and she barely let us get a word in to try and figure something out. We even asked if our dog could even sleep in a crate on the front porch and the owner wouldn’t even let us do that. The owner was disrespectful and rude towards us, we were very nice with trying to figure something out. The owner told us that she has 1 hour to clean the villas and that now there’s hair all throughout the villa, my dog hadn’t even been inside for more then 5 minutes and the owner was complaining about hair and how she has to clean it up. My partner and I even looked on the site and we understood that our dog was not allowed inside the villa but on the front porch that’s just crazy. My partner, his mum and his sister have gone to this village multiple times because my partner and his sisters grandfather live in a caravan in the village. The owner had the audacity to call my partners grand dad and complain about us having a dog inside the villa. My partners mother paid almost $700 for this villa for all of us to stay in and have a good weekend and now me and my partner have to leave with our dog. We all live in Bowen so we had to drive 2 hours to get to this village and now my partner and i have to drive 2 hours back in the pitch black while it’s also pouring down rain. This was my second time staying at this village and I can tell you with confidence I will never ever be staying at that place again.
