Genuine review unbiased. Didn't last a night on this mining camp the name is deceptive. Noise from the neighbour woke me up no courtesy of other sleeping had to find accommodation for the remainder of the night as they seemed to be on a mission to disrupt my sleep. Definitely not my cuppa

Centrally located. But really a mining village. Site just bare dirt and hot. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would not recommend this as a stop over. After seeing the site we drove onto Emerald and stayed the night there

Outrageously over-priced park with below average facilities for travellers. A dust bowl, no kitchen / cooking facilities, average ablution blocks and zero shade or any recreation facilities. This is a mining camp, chock full of dongas. Better to free camp at the showgrounds.

Great rooms. I have been in two of the motel rooms out the front and they have been spacious and clean. There is a fair bit of noise off the highway and train tracks but it hasn't stopped me sleeping quite well in the queen sized bed. There are no blackout curtains for night shift, but the aircon stayed cold all day so it wasn't a huge problem. Food is hit and miss, excellent some days and average others.
