2 months agoFree camping for 2 nights, need a permit if staying longer. Toilets (make sure you bring toilet paper) no showers and no park. Good area for dogs as it is spacious for them to run around. A boat ramp is there if you need. Very open space with green grass and a beautiful view. I didn't see any tables or bbq stations. Very close to Elmore with a beautiful bakery there. Be mindful it is close to the freeway so trucks and that frequently passing. I personally would stay here again.

Elmore 5 ks ,Rochester 10ks away have everything traveler needs.rochester silo art n awesome sports memorabilia museum, old architectural buildings n murals , Elmore fantastic rural discovery museum at visitor information centre.

a year agoDo not swim in the river, sit yes but don't swim or dunk your head. Hubby caught a very serious bacterial infection from the river. Apart from that, it's a nice camping area, only toilets with river water are available. It's a 10min drive from Elmore Vic. Total fire ban in Victoria atm as well. 21/02/2023

7 years agoTop spot for camping thanks to the local council. It is greatly appreciated by many self contained campers. There are toilets and a dump point all very clean. Do your shopping in Rochester or Elmore before heading to the camp site. Also please take your rubbish back out with you. Every bit of support helps all campers.
