3 months agoWanderest is well-priced for what it is, and surprisingly attractive. Although it's basically just a tarred carpark with power and shared water, it's tree-lined and overlooks playing fields and paddocks, so the outlook is better than you might expect. The dump point and a couple of showers and toilets are useful extras, and it's walking distance to club and shops. Kids will enjoy the occasional RAAF planes flying low overhead A long power lead is advised; on some sites it can be well over 10m between you and the power pole.

6 months agoThis was an unused carpark from the bowls club across the road I think. There were some sites with power and water. There are also showers, toilets and a dump point available. We had an unpowered site. It was on bitumen. It was a very pleasant stay and cost $10/night but you had to be a member of the bowls club. It was only an extra $5. We visited the club each day after we'd been out. Happy hour was on so drinks were a good price. Staff were friendly and professional.

a year agoWanderest would definitely be a 5* if the prices had remained as they were in March, they now charge $25 for a powered site. Still good value but there should be someone cleaning the toilets daily, to be frank they are a bit of a mess. That said, the club has a great restaurant and the showers are hot with plenty of room, but need cleaning for the price you pay.
